A retired Marine with over 20 years of honorable service, Peter held numerous leadership positions, leading over a thousand Marines during his tenure. As a Senior Drill Instructor, Peter transformed hundreds of civilians, utilizing positive leadership and management skills. Peter served as a senior military instructor, delivering professional instruction to over a thousand Marines, Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen. Through his mentorship, coaching, and leadership, Peters impact on his Marines has been tremenPeter Burchensondous, seeing many of them excel in their careers, both in and outside the military.

 Peter’s approach to leadership is simple: demonstrate and show, by your actions, that you care and the rest is easy.

 Upon retirement from the Marines, Peter served in the United States Senate as an Executive Administrative Manager, working closely withsenior executives to assist in the planning, administration, and execution of President Obama’s 2nd Inauguration. He also played an integral part in advising the US Senate Sergeant at Arms on US Capitol Police board, organizational leadership, continuity of government issues, and various reorganizational initiatives.

Shortly after the 2nd Obama Inauguration, Peter returned to training and organizational development, specializing in leadership development, organizational development, team-building, and coaching for 100 senate offices and 40 committees, serving over 2000 personnel in Washington, DC and all 50 states. Peter is certified in Hogan Assessments, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i) 2.0,/360, InsideOut Coaching, and Appreciative Inquiry (Ai).  The latter—a cutting-edge organizational development tool that focuses on building upon the positive elements of an organization.

 During his tenure, Peter has facilitated numerous organizational development activities, which has helped to increase employee engagement, improve morale, and increase efficiency and innovation. Peter has provided executive coaching to senate leaders, which increased their leadership abilities,  improved communication and influence and their relationship with their staff. Peter also established a leadership development program, and a mentorship program, which increased the interaction and relationships between senior and junior staff.  Peter has planned and executed leadership conferences, and delivered several keynote addresses at senior senate staff conferences on leadership, communication, and various competencies. Peter’s value to the United States Senate has been immense; it made him one of the most sought after facilitators. His work have positively impacted the Senate.

 A respected and in-demand consultant and speaker, Peter has delivered keynote speeches to the United States Senate Staff Conferences on leadership, effective communication, and motivation. In addition Peter has conducted international workshops on leadership and employee engagement for the Jamaica Employment Federation (JEF) I Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Peter holds a Master of Science degree in International Relations (MSIR) from Troy University and is a graduate of The United States Marine Corps intermediate and advanced leadership academies.
